It is normal to smell a plastic smell when the air purifier is switched on for the first time. If the air purifier emits an unpleasant smell after a long period of time, it might be due to a dusty filter or the filter plastic that hasn't been removed. Hence, please check the filter if the plastic has been removed, or clean and replace the filter.
